TOYS, TOYS & TOYS
The 9th Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles 2010, SM Megamall
All toys shot with the Canon G7 w/ Speedlite 430 EX II. There is nothing like shooting toys with a much loved toy.
Hope you enjoy the slide show. Just hover over the screen and a tiny control bar will magically appear for buttons to stop, forward and reverse. Like your personal low tech DVD player-well sort of…
Part 1 is here.
PART 1: AN OVERVIEW
The 9th Philippines Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention 2010, SM Megamall.
Toys, toys and more toys. Quite organized with lots of things to see and spend your hard earned cash on. From the vintage die cast to the plastic of modern collectibles. Not much up and coming products though except for Ford cars (I guess you could call it a toy-see photo 5th from top) and Maxi Collector. More distributors should showcase products as con goers make up a good chunk that spend money for toys.
It was disappointing to find a lack of 75th anniversary of DC Comics. Even if I were only there on the first day (Saturday) for 3 hours. The 2 convention halls could not accommodate the number of con goers and it got stuffy real quick.
I did take a bunch of photos though. Brought along the trusty old Canon G7 with a Speedlite 430EX II. I may not have had the advantage of depth of field but I had light weight convenience on my side.
If you haven’t already-Part 2: Toys, Toys and Toys
More stuff from this past weekends Metro Comic Con. A lot of activities were going on all at once with a band on stage blaring out music to entertain attendees. But the gaming table was all about wires and concentration.

Below is Deadpool from Marvel Comics. Notice the awesome details.

I believe these statues were custom made by FBS- Fat Boy Studios here in Manila. Awesome stuff to see first hand. Head on over to their site (just click on the link) for a detailed look at their incredible work. These would probably cost an arm, both legs and an ear if you want one!
Apocalypse looking all mean and squinty eyed with Colossus and Juggernaut frolicking in the background.

And finally, a LTO/drivers license style mug shot of one of the best Jokers of all time. As portrayed by Jack Nicholson in Batman circa 1989. Again by Fat Boy Studios.
